PlayStation 4 firmware 2.01 Released

Yup, Sony has finally released an update for their latest update. The new update. 2.01, should fix the issues so many of us are experiencing when putting our PlayStations to sleep, or “Rest Mode” as it’s now called.

If some how this isn’t effecting you or you missed the news, Sony’s recent firmware 2.0 update, which added so much, also ended up taking a lot in exchange. Many users, myself included, had this minor little issues of our PS4s suddenly becoming very sound sleepers and NOT WAKING UP after going into rest mode. For some, it seemed to be a challenge to wake their sleeping systems. For others, simply holding the power button for 10 seconds or so forced the system off, thus allowing you to turn it back on.

In any event, Sony has acknowledged the issue and has fixed it in the latest patch. Make sure to get yours as soon as it’s available.

About Krampus

Gaming has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. I started playing PC games while many of you reading this were probably still sucking your thumbs. I grew up during the birth of home computing and the the great console wars waged between Nintendo and Sega. My magazines of choice were Nintendo Power and EGM. Needless to say, I've been a part of the gaming community for a long time and bring this experience to my reviews and articles here at ProGameReviews.
